Petersime opens Southeast Asia office in Malaysia
Incubator and hatchery manufacturer, Petersime, has announced the inauguration of its new Southeast Asia sales and service office in Malaysia.
The new office will allow the company to be closer to its customers in the project design stage, as well as providing regional staffing of field service engineers for better technical and installation support.
"Setting up the office and team was an exciting experience. We are now ready to be of service to our clients with customised solutions and an efficient office," said Dr Carmelo Ferlito, the commercial director of Petersime Southeast Asia Sdn. Bhd.
The Southeast Asian team consists of Dr Felito, Nick Chong (office manager), and James Cormick (hatchery specialist).
Dr Felito will be responsible for establishing the legal and commercial presence in the region as well as developing the dealers and customers'' network.
With a decade of experience in the poultry industry, he has been based mainly in Asia and resides in Malaysia since 2011.
Before joining Petersimein 2015, Dr Felito worked for poultry equipment suppliers including Chore-Time and Jansen.
He has also built projects in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Nick Chong has a successful experience in operation management, e-commerce and customer service activities. His fluency in English, Bahasa Melayu / Indonesia, Mandarin and Cantonese, will help in engaging customers from around the region.
Chong will focus on developing customer engagement and delivering prompt services and assistance to clients.
Together with the service team and Petersime''s spare parts warehouse, he will help customers in achieving maximum long-term profits.
Jason Cormick has worked in the poultry industry for the last 25 years.
As an established international speaker, he developed a specialist hatchery management training programme as well as the Poultry Performance Conference for Petersime NV.
Cormick also plays an advisory role to Petersime sales and projects departments on providing best solutions to customers.
Prior to joining Petersime in 2009, he worked for Cobb for 20 years, being involved in every generation of the breeding pyramid, from pedigree to broilers.
Cormick has prior experiences in production, technical support, quality assurance / animal welfare, and project management where he designed and implemented new distributor operations.
